Testimonials

Ocasio Karate Plaistow Nh

This is a world class traditional karate training center and we feel lucky to have found Sensei Quimby and his assistants. He is not only a world class karate instructor but also a teacher and a role model with impressive personal integrity and discipline. He has an amazing ability to adjust not only the level of karate techniques he’s teaching to various age groups but even his personality changes depending on the age group. His deep knowledge of sports physiology will regularly show itself as he teaches but never to overwhelm his students ...

Cobra Kai never dies!

More than three decades after Karate Kid first hit theaters, the original movie's characters live on in Netflix's popular sequel series. Cobra Kai has adapted the same mentality as the dojo it's named after and, quite literally, will not die. (Which is great news for the show's biggest fans, including Ree Drummond!) Ahead of Cobra Kai's season 3 release, Netflix has confirmed that season 4 is already on its way—and it's going to be intense.

Read on for everything we know about Cobra Kai's fourth season, including updates on the release date, spoilers, cast news, and more.

When will 'Cobra Kai' season 4 be released?

While an official premiere date has not yet been revealed, we have a pretty good idea about when season 4 will arrive on Netflix. Given that season 3 is being released on January 1, 2021, it would make sense for season 4 to come out about a year after that.

The show's co-creator Jon Hurwitz also confirmed that production is expected to begin in early 2021, depending on 'how things are looking after the New Year.'

Planning for early 2021. Most productions have been overwhelmingly safe. But we’ll see how things are looking after the New Year. Hopefully we can get the numbers under control. #CobraKai#CobraKaiOnNetflixhttps://t.co/HWEiwGdyFJ

In the past, the show had a spring release schedule—but it seems likely that future seasons will continue to drop in the winter. So, Cobra Kai fans can *hopefully* expect to see season 4 sometime in January 2022. (That gives everyone plenty of time to rewatch the first few seasons and all of the Karate Kid movies!)

Is the original 'Cobra Kai' cast coming back?

© Mark Hill/Sony Pictures Television cobra kai season 1 episode 103

It's tough to say, because we still don't know what season 3 of Cobra Kai will bring. Any number of things—break ups, job changes, or even death—could totally shake up the cast. (We really hope there's no deaths.)

That said, the series is likely to hang on to its two main characters: Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). We'll probably also see more of Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), Samantha LaRusso (Mary Mouser), Daniel's wife, Amanda (Courtney Henggeler), and Johnny's son, Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan).

We do know one character who probably won't be returning to the dojo: Aisha (Nichole Brown). The actress who plays the Cobra Kai student announced the news on Instagram last year, writing that she's 'officially NOT in season 3 of #CobraKai.' Still, there's a chance Aisha could make a comeback during season 4.

'Just because a character doesn't appear for a period of time doesn't mean they've left the universe, that they can't return again,' Jon told TV Line about Aisha's exit. 'We love that character, and perhaps we'll see her again one day.'

If we had to pick one more character who might not appear in season 4, it would be Sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove). He's sure to be a big part of season 3—but we have a feeling that Johnny might put an end to his evil reign soon. That's just a guess, though!

What will season 4 of 'Cobra Kai' be about?

Our guess is as good as yours! Until we watch season 3, we can't predict what's going to happen in season 4. (Except, ya know, probably more karate.)

But we do know one thing: Season 3 is going to end with another major cliffhanger. Jon tweeted a teaser about the finale and, while we thought it was impossible to top the brawl at the end of season 2, it sounds like the show just might outdo itself.

I cannot wait for you to see the Cobra Kai Season 3 finale. But I especially can't wait for you to see the last 90 seconds. People are gonna go nuts. I know I do every time. #CobraKai#Season3@CobraKaiSeries

This hint doesn't give us much information about what's coming in season 4—except that it's sure to get off to a very dramatic start!
